Do detox foot pads really work?

There are several different types of Detox Foot Pad on the market today. And there is much, much controversy surrounding them. There are many manufacturers who are making a lot of money out of detox foot pads. I want to know if they work…does foot detox work?

A friend of mine mentioned Japanese Detox Foot Pads to me a couple of weeks ago. The promise is, you attach one these Foot Pads For Detox onto the sole of your foot, and you go to sleep. While you are asleep, the patch starts to draw toxins out of your body. I wasn’t really convinced.

She had already bought a couple of packets of the Takara Detox Foot Pads. Now, the patches have not got much good press. My friend told me that when she took the detox foot patches off in the morning, they were completely filthy, and had a revolting stink oozing from them. It sounded amazing.

I’d heard about the Foot Detox Pads Scam previously, and had really not taken much notice of it. Now, I decided to take a closer look.

I found a couple of tests that were carried out by some respected analysts on Japanese Foot Pad Detox. Two types of pad were analysed, a new one and a used one. The pads were cut up into small pieces, soaked in acid until they had disolved, and then chemically analysed. When the results were in, they showed that there was no difference at all between the two. Now there has also been a couple of scientists on the other side of the detox foot pad row, and yes, you guessed right, these guys said that the foot detox method worked.

Another thing was that when the pad was held over steam, it turned black. So, there is obviously an ingredient in there somewhere that is affected by water. It’s not such a stretch on the imagination to substitute a sweaty foot for a steamy kettle, and you can easily see why this is seen as some sort of trickery.

There are plenty of people though who believe in the benefits of Detox Foot Pads, but this could be down to if you really want to believe, you will believe. And who am I to start casting any stones. I hope you found the information about detox foot patches interesting, if you want more information about different aspects of foot detox, look though the other posts and subscribe to our RSS feed to keep a lookout for future articles about detox foot pads and the like.
