What is the average cost of a detox foot spa? I know myself that by visiting the many sites on the Internet that the price of a detox foot spa come be as low as $50. You can see that this is a cheap foot detox machines. I don’t know if the principle still works with these machines but they don’t, you always pay for what you get, and a detox foot spa is no exception. At the higher end of the market, you can pay over $200 or $300 for foot bath detox. I’m going to show you how to make your own detox foot spa a bit later on in this article, it’s not the hardest thing that you will ever do, and it will probably only resemble what it actually is, a homemade detox foot spa. But it will be your homemade detox foot spa, one that you have bothered to build yourself, and the biggest benefit is you will have saved a lot of money, and in this day and age saving a lot of money means an awful lot. The economy is not that great, people losing their jobs, so even if you’re only saving $50 by making your own foot detox spa at home, then I think it’s extremely worthwhile.

So before we get into it, as when I look a little bit at foot detox in general. There’s an awful lot of skepticism about foot detox and you can’t really blame the doubters, I mean just the word detox in the last few years has been blown out of all proportion, you can get detox for your feet, detox for your hands, and there’s 1 million different detox diets that you can find on the Internet, most of them are going to cost you a few bucks to get the exact recipes and program that you need to follow. So like I said when you look at things like the ionic foot detox bath, or detox foot patches, then I think you need a healthy big bowl of skepticism with your breakfast in the morning. So does it work… detox foot baths. It certainly looks like it works, I mean when you put your foot into that water and leave it there for, what is it, half an hour? That water turns into such a bad color that you have to believe that it works. But that’s not the question really. The question is does your foot detox machine make you feel better. A lot of people are saying that yes it does, that they notice even a mild improvement in symptoms that they are suffering, or in some cases even noticing a major improvement from using aqua foot detox.

The process of foot detoxification is the process of removing all those nasty toxins out of your system down through your feet. Now those nasty little toxins are getting into your system nearly everywhere you go. Imagine all the toxins that are getting into your system every time you eat food. Is there any such thing as a safe food these days? I know I am worried about the food that I’m giving to my family all the time. There are so many different types of animal flus and animal scares on the news every day that I’m sort of worried about eating meat, or poultry, or fish. But then you look at the vegetables that you are eating. I mean the grounds that they grow in are probably soaked in so many chemicals at this stage that it’s unreal. Has a foot detox machine or detox foot spas or patches got the ability to take all these chemicals out of your system? I doubt that very much. Getting back to the nasty side of things, then your vegetables are being sprayed by the farmers with all sorts of pesticides and insecticides and herbicides. You really, really don’t know what you’re eating. So that’s the worry about the food that we are eating. But even if you could buy everything organic, that means nothing is going to be sprayed with any harmful chemicals, your beef and chicken are going to be hormone free, hey… I’m talking about an ideal world here, it could happen one day!

So you have just gone out and you have bought your brand new foot bath detox for like $200. After you have got over the shock, you decide to head on home.  On the way back from the mall you’ve probably breathed in and out a few thousand times, seriously. And every time you take that one breath in you are sucking in chemicals that are floating around in the air, all the pollutants that are in the atmosphere around us, from cars and trucks and buses, from airplanes, from other people, from the plants around us and the animals around us. It’s really surprising that we are still here and that we can achieve talking about foot detoxification and buying a detox foot spa. I know I’m getting a bit off the point here but I’m just trying to delve into foot detox a little bit and find out if the detox foot spa actually works. I mean if you’re going to go to all the trouble of making your own detox foot baths at home, and then sit around like idiots with your feet in filthy water then you really want to know that it is going to do you some good and that is going to draw at least some of the crap out of your body.

Okay so let’s get on with making this foot detox bath that we’re talking about. Now it’s not going to be a bioenergiser detox foot spa, it’s not going to be one of your fancy shop bought detox foot spas.  The actual basis of this whole project is just using two basins that you would wash the dishes in after you just had the family around for dinner. So you’re not going to get some spaced out looking ionic foot detox bath, but it will be a bit silly of you to think that anyway wouldn’t it, I mean I’m only telling you because I’m going to save you $50. But like I said $50 is $50, and in this day and age $50 means a lot of difference to some people. So in order to make your foot bath detox at home you need to go out and buy a few things from your local hardware store. The first thing that you need to buy is like I said the two basins that you wash your dishes in.  The color doesn’t matter, but I suppose if you buy white or cream then it’s going to show up the murky nature of the toxins that are coming out of your feet when this foot detox works. Okay so, you have bought your two basins. Now you need to buy a couple of 9 V batteries. You know which ones they are they are the ones that went into the big old torches.  The big square jobs, with the two curly contacts on the top of it, one for positive and one negative. You can actually use a small 9 V transformer for this as well, but if you do you need to know what you are doing, so I’m not going to tell you how to make your own detox machine at home using one of these transformers.

Okay so the next thing you need to do is to raise your kitchen for a couple of stainless steel spoons. Any type of spoon will do from a dessert spoon to a tiny teaspoon. It really makes no difference. If you were to look at it sensibly then you might use a bigger spoon. Okay getting distracted here… I think the foot detox will work just as well with either sizes. Then you want to get a couple of pieces of wire. Any type of wire will do so long as it’s insulated. You can even find these of wire in all household appliances that you have, called the cord of the household appliance and strip the wire out from inside. That’s a cheap method of doing it, but even going down to your local hardware store is only going to say you back a few cents, and you need to buy a couple of other things as well. One of those is crocodile clips, well actually buy two of those. You also need some insulating tape, you know the type of electricity use to wrap a fuse boxes and that kind of thing.

Now you’re ready to make your own detox foot spa at home. What you should have in front of you are two basins, two crocodile clips, and two spoons, two pieces of electrical wire, and two 9 V batteries. So here’s what you do. You take the two spoons and attach them with the electrical tape to one end of the electrical wire. The other end of the electrical wire you attach with the electrical tape to the two crocodile clips that you bought. Now you can place the two basins on the floor with a couple of inches of warm water in each. Put tablespoon of salt into each of these foot baths. Now comes the part of turning your two ordinary basins into homemade ionic foot detox baths. You attach both pieces of wire by the crocodile clips to the batteries you put the other end of the wire containing the spoons into the water. Now you are there. If you sit back and relax, place your feet into the bowl and wait for the foot detox to happen.

If you are only new to foot detox, and this is the first time that you  have used foot bath detox, then you should only be using this device for 5 to 10 minutes at the beginning. Once you have used it for a while, like over a few days, you can leave your feet in there for up to a half an hour.

So hopefully you will  have managed to make something similar to what I have, and you are getting similar results. I always feel a little bit better after I used my home made detox foot bath. I’m always unsure whether this is just purely psychological, you know the placebo effect.  But I always feel like I am getting some sort benefit.  I hope you liked my article on how to make your own foot detox spa at home.  Hopefully we will see you again.  Until then…stay toxin free.

Here are my thoughts on Foot Detox. There are two of three methods of foot detox that I know about.  There is also a big business in foot detox, and big money to be made out of anything related to foot detox.

One is the Foot Detox Pad. I’m really not sure about this one. There are so many people screaming scam, scam, scam very loudly over the Internet whenever you do a search for them.It really does look like a con job. I mean, all that stuff about holding it over a steam and it turning black, yeah right!

Another method of foot detox is  the Detox Foot Spa. I tried it and I got some bit of comfort from it. I’ve seen the scam videos on you tube, so if you’re going to pay big bucks then watch yourself.

Look guys, reflexology has been around for thousands of years. So there has to be something in that, I mean, the Chinese are not stupid. If the technology is there for some trickery, that will take your money, someone is going to use it. And there’s always the benefit of the placebo.  If it makes you feel good without costing you the earth, then so be it.
